This scholarship is provided by the Ministry of Education (MoE) of Taiwan to encourage young international scholars from APEC member-economies to undertake research in Taiwan, in order to provide them with opportunities to increase their understanding of Taiwan’s culture and society, and to promote mutual understanding and interaction between Taiwan and other APEC member economies.
— Targeted Participants—
PhD students from an overseas university or Postdoctoral Research Fellows
(Anyone who at the time they apply is visiting, residing, studying (including undertaking an internship), teaching or undertaking research activity in Taiwan are not eligible to apply)
— Financial Assistance—
1. Monthly Allowance (25.000 NTD/month for PhD students; 40.000 NTD/month for Postdoctoral Fellow)
2. Round-trip ticket to Taiwan (reimbursement)
3. Term of fellowship are 2 to 6 months
— Research Topics—
Taiwanese humanities and art disciplines, education and culture, social science, natural science, and/or related comparative research.
— Application Procedure —
Applications must be submitted to the university or research organization affiliated with the MoE Taiwan (such as the Center for Chinese Studies or National Academy for Educational Research). All application materials must be received by the university or research organization no later than September 30 each year.
