Salah satu staff pada Departemen Kimia yang aktif meneliti tentang Lingkungan khususnya cemaran logam berat dan zat warna berbahaya serta usaha untuk mengatasinya menggunakan adsorben selektif berbasis pada kekayaan mineral/bahan alam Indonesia. Juga aktif meneliti terkait interaksi senyawa kecil (kompleks logam dan zat warna) dengan DNA. Di Bidang Kimia Komputasi dan kemometrika, juga aktif meneliti desain senyawa baru berdasarkan hasil analisis QSAR menggunakan descriptor kimia kuantum dengan metode MLR maupun ANN.
