Japan Association of Ion Exchange (JAIE) was established in 1985, and held annual symposium on ion exchange, training course, and seminar. Based on these achievements, JAIE has renamed to Japan Society of Ion Exchange (JSIE) in 1989, and has been rapidly internationalized.
The JSIE is trying to contribute issues of environment, resource, and energy by integrated knowledge of the researchers and engineers from industry – government – academic in the field of chemistry, electrochemistry, electricity, machine, nuclear chemistry, new energy, medicine, food, biochemistry, and analytical chemistry.
Based on the great success of the previous 3rd ICIE held at Kanazawa Institute and Technology organized by Prof. Yu Komatsu, 4th ICIE held at Chiba University organized by Prof. Shogo Shimazu, 5th ICIE held at the University of Melbourne organized by Prof. Geoffrey Wyne Stevens, and 6th ICIE held at Okinawa Convention Center organized by Prof. Masahiro Goto, ICIE became the international conference of the eastern hemisphere both in name and in reality.
Learning from the above mentioned success tradition, JSIE takes an opportunity to again organize next 7th ICIE 2018. To enlarge the coverage of participant and enhance the quality of scientific atmosphere, the 7th ICIE 2018 is organized in collaboration with both Department of Chemistry, UGM as the most prominent Chemistry Department in Indonesia and Indonesian Chemical Society (HKI) as one of the biggest chemical society in South East Asia.
The organizing committee cordially invites you to participate in the 7th ICIE 2018 that will be held on September 10th-13rd, 2018 at UGM, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. We are designing a stimulating program allowing the mutual discussion and exchange of the latest developments on the fundamental and applied studies of ion exchange and its related subjects.
All authors (oral and poster sessions) are requested to submit a one-page English written abstract via website http://icie.ugm.ac.id/ no later than January 31st, 2018. The abstract includes a short summary, tables, figures and references. A short summary and the information about author such as the name(s), affiliation(s), the contact address (e-mail address) of the corresponding author should be placed at the first part of the abstract. The authors must strictly follow the provided template for the style and format.
Selection of the papers and the mode of presentation will be arranged by the organizing committee based on the submitted abstract. The notification of acceptance will be informed to the corresponding author by e-mail on February 25th, 2018. Each oral presentation is given 20 min including discussion. In addition, the poster presentation will be held in specified time and board size after the acceptance has been noticed.
Papers submitted no later than March 31st, 2018 and presented at ICIE 2018 will be published in either a regular issue of Journal of Ion Exchange, special issue of Indonesian Journal of Chemistry (indexed by Scopus). Authors must clearly indicate their preference to which journal that their paper must be published. Please refer to the full paper template of your selected journal for preparing and writing paper. To maintain the high quality, he submitted papers will be reviewed in the same standard as for regular issues.
